Masonry Repair

The photo to the right is a masonry repair done to a brick chimney.  Upwards, from the roof-line, the brick chimney had cracked and leaned inward towards the home.  The masonry repair was begun by building scaffolding and removing the old brick down to the roof-line there the crack first appears.  The wood frame of the chimney was rebuilt, a larger cricket was constructed, and the wood frame of the roof deck was reinforced and repaired.  Next, flashing was installed, new angle-irons were installed with lag bolts to transfer the side and back weight of the chimney to the frame and the front bricks, and the new brick was laid.  This masonry repair took about three days to complete.  BOSS Construction LLC can handle any masonry repair. 

Brick Repair

Brick repair is often necessary.  Brick structures often sit close to roadways, and masonry signs, walls, and brick mailboxes often fall victim to high speed vehicle impacts and require extensive brick repair. Sometimes a brick repair is something simple, like reinstalling a few bricks that were knocked around or a few cracks that have developed over time.  Other times extensive brick repair is necessary, or a complete rebuild from the footing up may have to be done, as is the case with most brick mailbox collisions.

Brick Mortar Repair

Many times only a brick mortar repair is necessary.  Over time concrete footings will settle, and sub-grades will shift, requiring a simple brick mortar repair.  Many brick mortar repairs are necessary on brick facades at window corners, door frames, and garage door openings.  Angle irons and brick lentils can rust over time and swell requiring brick mortar repairs. 

Brick Sidewalk Repair
